SICILY. Selinos. Circa 415-409 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 16.30 g, 5 h). ΣEΛINONTION Artemis, holding reins in both hands, driving fast driving quadriga galloping to right; nearly hidden beside her, Apollo standing right; above, wreath; in exergue, grain ear. Rev. The river-god Selinos, horned and nude, standing front, head to left, holding phiale in his right hand and laurel branch in his left; to left, altar; before altar, rooster standing left; to right, selinon leaf above bull standing left on base.
